As the #1 mattress manufacturer in the United States and a leading brand across the globe, Serta’s innovation continues - with the help of their advertising agency MSI - through the development of a diagnostic and consultative shopping experience. This experience would allow customers to choose a mattress based on results from a pressure point analysis. A “pioneer in comfort” since 1931, Serta consulted VGS/Studio D in the design and manufacturing of their new state-of-the-art mattress showroom.
A one-of-a-kind showroom experience
Elevating the showroom to a new level, VGS/Studio D designed and manufactured the fixtures using a beautiful ash wood laminate. Rounded metallic headboards, with magnetic graphics illustrating product benefits, coupled with chic pillow cubbies and accessory displays, complete the relaxing, yet modern, environment.
The centerpiece of the showroom features a one-of-a-kind mattress system that senses and displays a person’s pressure points via a projected, life-size heat map, directly over the bed.
Relaxing, modern showroom with state-of-the-art technology
In addition to fixtures, the overall design also incorporates technology throughout, including a touch screen information center, multiple digital screens used to educate the consumer, and a touch pad in front of the diagnostic chamber.
The end result is a truly unique shopping experience that accurately reflects Serta’s role as the mattress and sleep authority.
